AI Background Remover
Remove the background from any photo with real AI — transparent PNG in seconds, right in your browser.
What is the AI Background Remover?
Removing a photo background used to mean expensive software or fiddly manual tracing around hair and edges. The MuftTools AI Background Remover does it the modern way: a real AI model looks at your photo, finds the main subject — a person, a product, a pet, anything — and cleanly removes everything behind it. What you get is a transparent PNG you can drop onto any design, listing or document.
Here is what makes it different: the AI runs entirely inside your browser, on your own device. Your photo is never uploaded to a server, so private pictures stay private. And unlike most "free" background removers, there is no watermark, no sign-up and no daily limit. You can also place your subject on a clean white or black background — perfect for online selling — or pick any custom colour.
How to remove a background
- Open the tool and choose a JPG, PNG or WebP photo.
- Tap "Remove background" — the first time, the AI model downloads once (about 40MB, Wi-Fi recommended).
- Wait a few seconds while the AI separates the subject from the background.
- Pick a background: transparent, white, black or any custom colour.
- Download your finished PNG — free, with no watermark.

Frequently asked questions
How does the AI Background Remover work?
Pick a photo and a real AI model that runs inside your browser finds the main subject and removes everything behind it. You get a clean transparent PNG, or the subject on a white, black or custom colour background.
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The AI runs entirely on your own device inside your browser. Your photo never leaves your phone or computer, which is why the tool works with complete privacy.
Why is the first use slower?
On the very first use the browser downloads the AI model (about 40MB), so a good Wi-Fi connection helps. The model is then cached, and every later use starts almost instantly.
Is it really free?
Yes — completely free, with no watermark, no sign-up and no daily limit. Download your finished PNG as often as you like.
