How to create and use a QR code
A QR code stores a short piece of text, usually a website link, in a pattern a phone camera can read. It is useful on menus, posters, product cards, invitations and business packaging.
Make a reliable QR code
- Open the QR Code Generator and paste the complete link, including https://.
- Generate the code and scan it with at least one phone before publishing it.
- Download the PNG. Keep a clear white margin around the code and avoid stretching the image.
Common mistakes to avoid
Do not place the code over a busy photo, crop its edges or print it too small. Remember that a static QR code does not expire, but a broken destination link will still stop working.

How EMI calculation works
EMI means equated monthly instalment: a regular payment that combines part of the loan principal with interest. The result depends on the amount borrowed, annual interest rate and repayment period.
Use the EMI calculator
- Enter the exact loan amount in the Loan / EMI Calculator.
- Add the annual interest rate shown by the lender.
- Enter the term in months or years, then compare the monthly payment, total repayment and total interest.
Read the estimate carefully
A longer term can reduce the monthly payment while increasing total interest. Processing fees, insurance, taxes and variable-rate changes are not included, so compare the estimate with the lender’s official repayment schedule.

Percentages, discounts and final prices
A percentage describes an amount out of 100. To find 20% of 500, multiply 500 by 20 and divide by 100. Percentage change compares the difference with the original value.
Check a sale price
- Enter the original price in the Discount & Tax Calculator.
- Add the advertised discount and any tax that applies after the discount.
- Review the saving, tax amount and final price before paying.
When percentage change is useful
Use the Percentage Calculator to compare an old and new price, bill, score or measurement. Always treat the original value as the starting point; percentage change from zero is undefined.
